Grandkid Updates

Here are some updates on grandkids. I have taken picture and stories from all of the family blogs...

The Jacobsen Family

"Ethan has finally lost his other front tooth! The new tooth is pushing in...we are wondering when the other side will start coming in, too. It's been 6 long years since he lost that front tooth. I know that when they come in he will instantly look older...so I don't mind if they take just a little bit longer!"

"This year Sam decided he wanted to host the talent show with his best buddy, Sam. Since they are both Sam...they developed there whole routine around that fact. They did their own dialogue and jokes...pretty inventive if you ask me! They had a lot of fun both at practices and at their performances." - Jana

"It was a tight competition, but Jacob was able to win his Pack's latest Pinewood Derby race. Of course, it's Cub Scouts so we try to downplay the winning and play up the sportsmanship. He did a great job in that area also." - Bob

"Avery got a knitting loom for Christmas and has been diligently working on this scarf. I think we ran out of yarn a couple of times, thus the various colors, but in the end she made this lovely scarf. Pretty cool I think. Tonight I was putting the younger kids to bed and after I was done I came downstairs and Jacob was just sitting on the couch knitting away without a care in the world. It was a funny sight, but we're equal opportunity parents so I was happy to see it." - Bob

"A cute little picture of Jared in one of his calmer moments. He is quite the little ball of energy - very curious and always pushing, pulling, opening, tearing or throwing things. I'm glad there are 7 of us to keep an eye on him!" - Bob

The Lemmon Family
Cami and her family have been so busy getting their new home finished and getting everything moved.

"I usually try very hard as a mother to not brag about my children. I just can't seem to help it this time!

Last month Skyler took first place at our ward pinewood derby. It was his last year to get to race and the first year he made his car by himself. He designed it, cut it out, sanded it, and painted it completely on his own. Needless to say, he was quite proud. Because he won he was qualified to participate in the district race. This last Saturday Skyler raced against the 134 fastest cars in the district. Once again, he won first place.

Winning first place was not what made me a proud mother. Skyler's graciousness, humility, and concern for those who did not win was what made me proud. After Skyler received his trophies he noticed a young cub scout who was obviously quite disappointed that he did not win and he asked me if he could give the boy his trophies. I think that is what makes up a true winner"

"It was a long HOT (in the 90's!) day yesterday, but we are finally finshed...we are all moved in! We are so incredibly happy, there are no words to describe it. The boys couldn't be more thrilled. They are happier and more content than we have ever seen them...I think it is because there is so much to do and explore. Oh, and I think Oliver feels much more comfortable on carpet than hard wood floors! They love all the extra room to play, the yard, the neighborhood, and especially our jetted bath tub! Here are the boys getting all cleaned up after a dirty day of playing..." - Stacy

"This cuteness is what I awoke to bright and early this morning. (He is OBSESSED with flags)..." Stacy
